How does Virtual Coaching (V-COACH) work?

After we receive payment from you in our online store, you will receive an e-mail from Elevated Innovations.  You have two options:

1.)  E-mail your video you want analyzed to the e-mail address provided.

2.)  Upload your video (if it is larger than 20 MB) to our online file transfer program.  All you have to do is click on the link provided in the e-mail, search your computer for the correct file, and then upload the video to us.  

We use a third party transfer program and only Elevated Innovations coaches can access your videos.  Don't worry, your video will not show up on YouTube!

That is all there is to it!  You send us what you want us to analyze and we look at it!  Our normal turn around time is 48 hours to get the video back to you.

Elevated Innovations offers two levels of this unique v-COACH product: Premium and Standard Packages.

v-COACH - Premium Package

With our Premium Package you get a detailed video analysis of your skiing and a 1-hour virtual meeting with one of our specially skilled and highly trained coaches.  You get to pick the time and whether you want to do a webcam, video conference or talk over the phone.  It is up to you.  By accessing our coaches, you can better understand our analysis on your personal skiing.  Think of this product as a 1-hour private lesson that can be done when it is convenient and where it is convenient for you.  It's like having a private lesson without even setting foot on the snow and getting accurate feedback even if you have never physically met your coach!

v- COACH - Standard Package

With the Standard Package, you go to our online store and purchase the Standard Package.  After we receive your payment, you will receive an e-mail from us.  You can either attach your video and e-mail it to us.  Or in most cases, your e-mail service provider has a limit to how large a file you can send as an attachment.

If your file size is too large, you can click on the link in the e-mail response, after we receive your payment, and you can upload your video to an online file transfer program.  In other words, you can upload your video to our private folder (only Elevated Innovations coaches can access) and then we can download it, edit it, and send it back to you.

Using a video software program, we will draw and annotate your video.  We will also use voice overs to explain what we are drawing and why we are highlighting these aspects of your skiing.  Our normal turn around time is 48 hours from the time we receive your submitted video. 

Video Shooting Tips

• Frame the skier in the center of your LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) or your viewfinder and try to keep him or her centered
• Use the zoom to keep the skier framed and centered in the camera lens
• If you want the video to include the skier coming towards and going away from you, make sure you have practiced and are comfortable with your zoom to keep the skier center framed
• Stand below the skier and have them ski directly towards you (head-on shot)
• Keep your elbows in close to your body to minimize shaking of your hands and help stabilize the image
• Use your non-dominant hand and make an "L" with your thumb and fore-finger.  Use this as a cradle while your other hand works the zoom and keeps the skier in frame
• Use a tri-pod if you are still having issues stabilizing the camera
• If it is a bright sunny day and your camera has a viewfinder, use it instead of the LCD screen

Elevated Innovations is constantly designing and creating educational products.  Coming out soon will be our Movement Analysis (M.A.) video.  This video is designed specifically for ski instructors to practice their analysis skills on other skiers and to improve their ability of discussing other skiers.  M.A. is often tested at the different certification levels for ski instructors.  This video tool allows instructors to practice on their own time and is geared towards passing these levels of certification.  While intended for ski instructors, recreational skiers have also found this product to be helpful in understanding more about skiing.
